I can corroborate the fact that Dutch are, indeed, quite rude and even obnoxious, an experience I have gained through having lived and studied in the Netherlands and also working with Dutch people in different occasions. This is directly linked to the country’s political and religious history, of course, and its assimilationist and deeply racist tendencies. It would be much more fruitful and productive for people to accept the reality, rather than berate those highlighting it. Of course, that is NOT to say that there aren’t still MANY Dutch people who are extremely friendly, giving, hospitable and open (I am happy to have such friends)
